Last night I updated my phone to Belle,I backed up phone memory and restored it back after update finished.I didn't find some of my apps.I searched for them in search section but it didn't find anything though. At the end of the update when it was completely finished (I mean after restoring) it said files in C:/ were moved to E:/nokia_belle folder. Why ? Yes there are files in it but why didn't the phone backed those files and restored them to C:/ too ?
Also I installed my apps (opera) to E memory not phone memory. Why my apps disappeared ? There were many important saved pages in my opera mini Sad
Anyone facing this problem or knowing solution to this please post here.

It's just a guess but I think it has to do with the RAM(Random Access Memory).
The C: disk is just 251/256mb, that is the same amount as the RAM. I guess that the OS files were to big for the old location so they had to be moved. But normally (pc's, laptops etc.) RAM is many times faster then normal storage, don't know if it makes not much difference with a phone. That's my best guess.
If the RAM in a phone is about the same as in a pc, the above stuff is incorrect because RAM does not hold permanent date. Thats for the ROM (Read Only Memory) which would be 512mb in the N8.

I read at Nokia's official forum that lots of people lost apps because of the update, me included.
I also noticed that the Nokia Live/City View (from Nokia betalabs) doesn't work on Belle, this is already reported.

Belle downloaded well, but I did lose some apps. However I have downloaded them afresh from Nokia Store, even downloade Sygic without being charged again. Unfortunately Sygic are abandoning Symbian which is a shame as I preferred it to Ovi satnav.
