Noticed today another OTA update. Something about DAB Radio which needs a DAB radio headset and something to do with Videos but i cant see what it is?

I noticed on the Nokia website when looking at the DAB headphones that you can get a TV headphones. Maybe im being slow but is that new! have you always been able to get TV on the go with these headphones?

DAB radio is not available in all countries, but the Videos update has turned the Video Player from Nokia in the VLC with subtitles support.

I´d say that almost all formats currently supported in VLC are now available for the S^3.

Can you please tell me, how to get this update? I need subtitle support and Nokia software update from PC suite tells me only, that I have actual version of firmware 11.012

There are two OTA (Over the Air) updates possibilities for the N8.

Firmware update

Settings > Phone > Phone Management > Device updates

You've probably done that already, because you are running the latest firmware, but you will probably should check this option out on the 24th January, it is said that PR1.1 will be available at this date.

Software Update

Tools > SW update

Here you will find the Videos update and several others, including one that solves lots of problems regarding screen saver delay, speed of home screen, there are also few minor improvements for the browser.

thanks for reply, but on both these places in phone it tells me, that no update is available :-(

is it possible, that for slovak republic nokia did not released these updates?

Take a look at the Updates History, maybe you've already updated it.... because these updates are also available through OVI Suite.

My list of SW updates is:

Videos 17/01
SW Update 1.0 12/01
Social 29/12/10
Nokia Themes: Midnight 12/12/10
Apps Update 12/12/10

The last two I installed at the day I bought my N8.

The DAB update is not available for Brazil.

In romania, with my Vodafone N8, i only got :

Videos
Nokia Themes: Midnight
Apps Update
available until now.

so I have in my update history:

Nokia themes : Midnight 29/12
Social: 29/12
apps actualization: 29/12

29/12 I have bought my N8, it downloaded updates those times. Since 29/12 nothing.

how can I get finally to those video update? I need it :-)

so I discovered the problem.
I called to T-mobile, they told me, that the are not preparing any update for this phone. They dont care if I want updates, they dont provide it.

So... I am going to give my phone to mobil shop to load there original Nokia firmware, not branded by T-mobile. It costs about 10€. Is it worth it? Or is here any possibility to change software at home?

Try again right away without rebooting.
I had the same problem, when I tried again it worked.

PR 1.1 delayed for February and PR 2.0 for Spring (northern or southern hemisphere ??)

why they just release the firmware for all n8 user at least some of problem may sattle until next new firmware release.  Angry
