Haih...delayed!! Have to wait for another month. Have anyone here using the custom firmware? Is it recommended or it just another test lab? I would like to give a try, but is it possible for me to do it without damaging the phone? Sorry, newbies here?

I think Northern..
cause Nokia is from Finland(European)..

Some sources say that the 1.1 software is released here in the Netherlands, but when i try to update with Ovi and Software update they say there is no update Sad
Strange thing is that when I use Software update, it doesn't even search, it just says right away that there are no updates.

If yours is not debranded, you will have to wait some weeks, as informed in the post of Nokia Conversations, probably it will depend on how fast your mobile operator is to update it and send it back to Nokia.

My mobile company started selling the N8 about 3 months after the presales and it was the first in Brazil to have it available, so I'd guess, that's is the time I'd have to wait....

Let's just hope I'm wrong....

dial *#0000#
there you'll see your phone info
Go to options/update

Hi, everybody,

This morning (Feb, 7th) I was able to download PR 1.1 - my mobile is debranded. At first, I've noticed a performance increase, but after installing this update, some applications have frozen  - this porblem was solved only after reinstalling theese applications.

tonight I have updated my N8 to PR 1.1 by OTA. Software version 013.016, version date 2011/01/27.

To update just went to Applications/ software update.
I couldn´t notice any change in the first 5minutes after update....
