You are having a DNS Problem, in order to avoid that I've configured my N8 and the WLAN at my house to use openDNS

http://www.opendns.com/

Just go into

Settings > Connectivity > Settings > Destinations > Internet

You have to disconnect from the AC point you want to configure, than simply tap over it

go to options > Advanced Settings > DNS addresses

and type in these values

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

OpenDNS is much faster and reliable than the one provided by your service provider, besides it will help to avoid traffic shapping from your provider.

Best regards,

Mauricio

Hi Rajesh,

This is my second reply post for something that looks very similar.

What wireless security do you have on your network? From what I have found so far, using WPA2 is disasterously glitchy - might work to transfer 100MB data, other times it struggles to do 3MB without restarting the handset.

Try switching your wireless security to either WEP or WPA1. This is what I had to do, and *touch wood* never had any problems since.

Good luck,
Nick

Ive no problems with WPA2 either,
however, your router could be blocking an unauthorised access.
what you may need to do is go into your home network lan settings on your router and manually add the mac address for your phone.
Your network security settings on the router could be blocking the phone, which actually means your home network is pretty secure & set up properly so no one can hack into it.

Hello frndz, i am bak again after gooogled a lot and couldn't find a solution for my WLAN problem.

when my mobile is out side to home its connecting and working with wifi fine.
but in my home (BSNL Broadband,India)(DNS A211-i Modem) i am not able to browse.

Enabling WiFi
Enabling DHCP so and so.... tried... ooooops not working for my n8
so finally i  figured that i have to configure my router settings
several settings i made and failed.
Finally i spoketo one of the BSNL Broadband customer care representatives, they were hands up, cause they r Govt. salaried employs and tolg me that they dont know about any wifi wlan something... something....
This is my final try to chk my luck
