The most outstandingly bad feature of my N8 is it's shitty battery life, i've needed to charge it everyday since i got it (Christmas 2010.)

I've discovered the wi-fi is automatically connecting, not even 2 seconds after changing setting to stop the N8 from connecting automatically, the phone will still connect.

I've travelled away from any wi-fi points for days at a time with my phone, and still the problem persists; i've checked the connection manager to make sure i've no online connections, and still the battery lasts a measley 24 hours.

Also, i've read several reviews on this phone, and they all mentioned battery life outliving mine by four fold, while they mention their heavy internet usage too.

Does anyone else have this problem or have any solutions?

The most anoying thing with my N8 is that it switches the bluetooth off when the battery gets low and unlike my E52 does not switch it back on.

My bateruy lasts for 2-3 days between charges biggest drain on mine was the emial settings it was set by default to check continually so you got your email at once (providing the battery lasted) I have changed this to once an hour and the battery life went from 24 hours to 2 days at once.

Regards

Russell.

I changed the RSS feeds to manual refresh and turned the screen widgets to offline mode, i think this has changed the battery life alreay, usually while i sleep the battery goes down ~25%, last night it only went down ~4%.
