I'm having issues with my phone constantly trying to connect to WLAN'S.
Iv'e set my phone to show WLAN availability never, but it still has a symbol at the top right of the screen asking if i want to connect. When i was at my friends house, it kept trying to connect to her WLAN even though i set it never show availibility. Very confused and annoyed...help!

Put the wlan widget on your home screen and switch wlan scanning off.

Problem is... Even after you do this it will STILL attempt to connect online every now and then, without asking permission from you.
It has done this multiple times (for example if I just view in passing another online widget; With no intention to click on it and it's set NOT to sync)

I'm thinking about selling this pile of buffalo excrement if they don't fix the tons of bugs with a firmware update soon.

Why don't you just change the settings and disable automatic scanning for WLAN networks..?

There's three settings in that menu, two of them being "Show WLAN availability" and the other WLAN search. Obviously if you make it not show the availability without touching the other setting, it will still keep searching for networks because you've set it to do so...

THAT DID NOT WORK I DISABLE AUTO SCAN WLAN AND DISABLE ALL NETWORK SETTING BUT SOMETIME IT WILL CONNECT TO INTERNET EVEN IF I DONT WANT TO
(JUST BY LOOKING AT WIDGET OR TRYING OFFLINE GPS)

& GET CHARGED FOR BEGINNING MEGABYTE OF DATA TRANSFER IS UNACCEPTABLE

SI ALGUIEN SABE COMO ARREGLAR ESTE PROBLEMA POR FAVOR ENVIAR UN MENSAJE

Could it be an application you have installed that is set to connect automatically to a network? I went through most of mine and disabled this setting where possible and haven't a problem since. Hope this helps.

Hi guys What you can try is
Go to> settings > connectivity>settings>1) either cahnge switch to wlan to manual /2)data use in home country as wlan onl;y if u want to use wlan only or u can set it to "always ask"
so that it will always ask u if u want to connect via anu conn bearer or deny if u dnt want to connect  Smiley hope this helps/
