Also having the same problem and it is driving me crazy.  On another forum they said if you have multiple numbers for the one contact it will do this, or if the numbers aren't stored on the phone.  Have removed multiple contacts and all numbers stored on the phone, so really don't know what to do next, will follow this thread for some advice!!

just select between SIM or Phone contacts to show... or use ovi suite to manage you contacts.

the phone will not display the contac name because it is duplicated

Hi,

I get the same problem with a new phone : names aren't showned on call. I'm trying your solutions but it doesn't work anymore.

I'm astonished no option in the config seems to set shoing name or numbers??? Incredible.

Are you completely sure there aren't duplicate contacts in your phonebook?

SIM and Phone memory must be checked.

Hi (once),

I think I know how to get the names instead numbers.

On each contact, the synchronisation must set to "public". When numbers are imported from SIM card, every contact is set to "private". So, switch to public...

Note : in France, the apllication Swype is not installed. Wink

@Mauricio : yes, every "double numbers" were deleted on SIM card. Wink
