When I first got my phone, I could connect to GPS and use the sat nav, since then at some point in time the settings seem to have altered and I can no longer get a GPS signal. All I get is a message saying "waiting for GPS". I have left it over night for several hours and still no joy. I did a soft reset at some point which also didn't help, so am now getting pretty frustrated with it as it one of the reasons why I got this particular phone.

Has anyone got any suggestions please?

If you are trying to use the gps without internet, it's exactly the same as a tom tom or myo gps, you'll need to have your phone outside (with a clear sky).
Leaving it overnight on your livingroom table usually never changes the fact that it is not possible for the gps to receive info...

And if you use gps with internet it works way faster and even indoor..
hope this helped...

I'm having the same issue with you and I have sent my N8 to NCC for troubleshooting. Still waiting for them to change the motherboard for me.
