Hello everyone,

after allot of research i finally decided to buy a Nokia N8. a great phone so far!

the only thing that frustrates me is the ovi store!
i can browse through the apps in the store, but i cant download/log in on Ovi Store on my phone. i always get the error:

Dutch: Netwerkfout. Probeer het later opnieuw
English: Network Error. Please try again later

i used GPRS/3g and Wifi. but on both mediums i get this error. while i can surf normally on the web on these connections.

i've heard that this is a unfamous problem. is there any solution released yet?

PS: the same count for Ovi social network app for Twitter/facebook, if i want to log onto my facebook account, the same error occurs!

I tried to log in for the last 2 days, but with no success. i even contacted the dutch Ovi Store helpdesk by email 2-3 days ago. but still no responce Smiley

i will wait a few more days, otherwise i'm considering calling Nokia/Ovi store or hacking/app signing applications.

i did not ever hear anything about this type of problem.
you say you tried on several connection types and same error ?
did you reboot your phone ? i got that error maybe 2-3 times, but that's it. i installed over 100 apps i think with no problem, on wifi or 3g connection.

I am having very similar problems - more often than not I cannot connect to Ovi Store from my N8. Tonight the error message is "unable to connect to service". I am a few metres from my router and can connect to other websites.
Also I can connect to Ovi store through my PC.
