The standard browser is not able to show video streams that are embedded in websites.
Is there a way to overcome this ? I presume this is because the usual plugins like media player/real player/quicktime/silverlight are missing. Any suggestions on how to view video's / video streams when surfing ?? Any browser update expected soon ??

Is this all?  Or just specific sites?

I know flash 10.1 is on the way for mobile, but I haven't seen it out yet.  Depending on the site, this may be the limitation.

Do we have any Real Palyer to run on Symbian 3? I think that will solve the issue.

When you say you can't stream, what type of videos can't you stream? I have no problems playing flash streams (eg. youtube, flv streams).

There are many formats the n8 just can't play - it has nothing to do with streaming. For example, we can't watch mpeg-1 videos (and streams).

I don't know if there is a way to update the codecs. Another thing to try is run opera mini - you can still stream flash.

Cheers...

Some streaming sites do require Flash 10, like Hulu, which isn't yet available, although it was supposed to come out in November.  Adobe is rolling out Flash 10 support for all mobile devices, but they're being quite slow about it.

I guess I'm not sure what else would be the problem other than a website requiring a newer flash version.

I can't say I've experienced any audio only streams on any sites I've been to.

I've also stepped to Opera since it offers more functionality, although there isn't any specific reason why the N8 browser would show streams different than the Opera browser.
