After I updated my phone to Symbian Anna, it keeps on automatically connecting to the internet with WIFI. Otherwise, it will ask me if I want to connect using my network (Globe). When I go to Connection Manager > select the network, it shows in the Apps Messaging. So I'm thinking something/some settings in Messaging make it connect automatically to the internet. I've checked all the settings (Text, Multimedia, Service, Operator) but still it keeps on doing it! It also does that when I open my Social widget.

Help please!!! Thanks!

You can try this:
Go to settings>connectivity>settings, then change the first three to WLAN.
Switch to WLAN = Known WLANS only
Date use in home country = WLAN only
Data use when abroad = WLAN only

Hi,
I had the same problem with the phone always connecting to the internet. I found out it was mail synchronization. I deleted the gmail account in the e-mail program, then I reinstalled the gmail account and changed the synchronization times to never update. That solved my problem, hope it can help you.
