Can someone assist please ?

I made a mistake and removed the memory card while my Nokia N8 was still 'on'. I continue to get the following pop up -

"Next time, select 'remove memory' from power key menu before removing memory card"

Any suggestions as to how I can stop this pop up message from constantly appearing ?

Many thanks.

Have you tried the eight second power off reboot? Hold the power button for eight seconds or so until you feel three quick vibrations and leave the phone off for a minute or so then power back on. If the pop-up is still there then try pressing the power key to reveal the menu and select remove memory card. Take out the SD card and tap OK. Power off the phone and re-insert your SD card and power back on.

Worzel.

Hi Worzel

Many thanks for your kind assistance.I followed your advice and tried both the power off reboot and the remove memory card method. Unfortunately, neither method has worked and I am still getting the same pop-up as before. Do you or anyone else have any further suggestions that may help to get rid of this pop-up ? I would really appreciate any further help to solve this problem.
Best wishes

Just to let you know, I contacted Nokia customer care who were very helpful. They talked me through how to do a master reset of my N8.So far,it seems to have worked.I am very impressed with Nokia care. They were very patient and nothing was too much trouble.I would not hesitate to use them again.FYI Grin
