I was just wondering if ther was an update or an issue with this phone playing certain .mp4 and .3gp files. I have tried playing files that woked on my old N96 with no success. Is there another player I can use? Any other ideas? Thanks. You could re-encode your existing files into a N8 compatible format. I have the same problem. It begin after flashing to version 14.02, i have hard/soft  reset and the problen continues. Thak's....
