In the call log, long-press (press and hold down for a few seconds) on a particular call entry. A pop-up menu will appear. Delete is one of the options there.

Apart from the Options button on bottom left of the screen, Nokia has implemented the context-sensitive menu (via the long-press action) on most of the UI elements you see on the screen.

Is this what you're looking for?

Glad to be of help. 'Have saved my day' means you have something in the log you don't want others to see??  Wink

But seriously thought, there are lots of hidden features in the long-press menu in lots of apps and settings. I'm still discovering them as I'm using my N8.

Ha yes maybe sometimes have a few calls that need to be deleted.

The only problem now tho is if i delete it from the call log it is still stored in the communications log which records voice calls GPRS SMS etc.... (to many logs for my liking)
and the long-press method doesent seem to give me the option to delete here.  Any way you can delete
in the communucations log that you know of?

Cool ill be sure to use the Long-Press menu from now on - i didnt even know that existed.

thanks

Nokia Ovi Store has a tiny tool "Delete Single Log", this is what you want. It can delete individual call log / sms log entry.
