Is there VPN software that can be used on Nokia N8 for connection with Windows computer?

My friend with his IPhone can easily connect to his home and office network via VPN without any problems.
He showed this to me and this is really simple, whole configuration is basically contains 3 parameters only - server, username and password. After VPN connection is created he can use his phone for full access to computers in his home or office, he can access all files, Emails and so on.

Probably the same can be done somehow with N8 phone as well?

VPN and VNC access is is not the same as accessing remote drive.

VPN is about accessing whole network and then accessing computers and networks resources.
VNC is about remote access to computer desktop with full control basically of everything what's going on that computer.

sadly I've been hoping someone would port over openvpn ever since I got my N8 when it first came out. I will recommend this though you can tell Telexy your interested in them doing a vpn for ^3 and the N8 at this page.

http://www.telexy.com/Support/Publications.aspx?PublicationId=398

If you look at the page you will seen only about 400 people have expressed interest but I always read about people looking for a vpn. So please sign the page and spread the word because mobile internet in China blows.

SymSMB v4.00.61.S60v3.SymbianOS9.1 from Telexy
Download here: http://www.multiupload.com/FKC2LGFM64

Maybe this program can help you to do what you want if you can find out how to configure it on N8. I managed to installed it on the N8 and now I got wireless "Network-Phone" direction, but I was unable to set up the opposite access "Phone-Network".

This soft has nothing to do with VPN access.
Secondly, this is very old version, the newer version is called SymNC and it includes VPN and Remote Desktop Access, but this new version is not supporting N8 too.

The free mobile VPN client from Nokia only supports IPSec protocol and the SymVPN client, which supports PPTP and costs about 30$, is not compatible with Symbian^3. More details can be found in this post.
