Can anyone tell i there is a working version of skype for our N8? I've tried the latest one for 5th version but no sound no calls even if installed smooth without any warning. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I believe that there isn't one working as of right now.

I have skype working on my N8, but i cannot remember for the life of me where i got it from ... it might have been on this link somewhere

My friend, i tried to find it where you said, but it is not there, maybe you have it from somewere else. Could you please, send it to me by mail (same id on yahoo) link or somehow, i really miss this app since i swap from N97 to N8. Thanks in advance.

Skype arrives on Symbian^3

Skype have just announced a new version of Skype for Symbian, with a revamped user interface and support for Symbian^3 devices. This new version (1.50 build 15) supports the SILK codec for higher quality calls. As part of the user interface update, Skype say they have improved support for larger screens, and made it easier to add contacts and photos, and make status updates. We have also noted the UI has new instant message notification pop-ups.

You can download the skype for N8 from here:

http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-mobile/download/skype-for-symbian/?status=200

Just go there and punch in your cell number along with +<country-code> prefixed to your mobile no.
