Any eBook reader for N8? To read ePub or even PDF format? I know there is a default PDF reader, but to use that to read... can be tedious. Wink

Have you tried project gutenburg. Haven't looked into it much but you can download books on it, though i think they're mostly classics out of copyright. Probably not great if you're looking for specific or new books.

I highly recommend Mobipocket , you can find it at www.mobipocket.com, there is no installation file for Symbian 3, but I installed the latest version for S60 5th edition and worked fine on my N8, there is also software for your pc where you can convert any txt pdf or any other text file to mobipocket file in like 5 seconds.

hope this helps.

Also try http://www.ereader.com/ereader/software/product/18842_pro_symbian.htm works fine on my N8, though it had trouble picking up the text at first as it was set at maynard by default, set it to nokia sans s60 and all worked fine.

Hello guys,
It seems there is a new app http://store.ovi.com/content/113558, It seems that this is by far one of the most complex ebook readers. For now it works only with epub. You can find more info on the developers page www.mbooks.me.

Hi,

I was using this post to try and resolve this for my self and found all of the above options tedious to try and get working. Not sure why but none of them really got the job done for me.

However i did come across this little puppy!

http://albite.vlexofree.com/reader

I've found this very easy to install and use with night time and day time options, bookmarking and the ability to change font size.

It also comes in a version designed to be used with the N8 so there's no little hoops that you need to jump through just to get it to work.

The files it can read are epub, txt and html. I have only tried epub so far but it seems to work brilliantly!

As for PDF, Some one out there may know of the answer to getting that to work on the N8 smoothly but it's certainly not me! i spent a day looking for options to use my pdf books even for ways of converting them,,,, alas boredom got the better of me and i just decided to re-download my books in epub/.txt

I hope you found this usefull happy reading!
