Hi everyone. I've been searching for over half an hour for an app that automatically disables my internet connection (wifi and/or gprs) after 5 minutes or so. My e-mail, amongst other apps, is syncing every 4 hours (automatically connects to the internet) and when syncing is complete I want my N8 Symbian Anna to automatically disable the connection to save battery.
Anyone here who's got a suggestion? Or is there a different solution than installing an app?

Unless you have a faulty device the connection should close itself after syncing.

The wifi does seem to do so, but the 3g is visible most of the time, upper left corner. Or is it 'idle', perhaps?

3G is the type of network you're currently in, as in cellular reception. 3G is the "new" network as opposed to the "old" GSM (2G) network. That doesn't mean it's connected to mobile internet.

Thank you! I wasn't aware of that and thought it was the internet connection. Thanks for your kind help.
