Guys, i really need ur advise..
Mine consume a lot off battery even in low usage..
Imagine, after full charge 2hours, put my self for sleep 6hours and

When im at office, notice that full charge with low usage only stand for 5/6 hours.. Angry
this really disappoint me..and i'm thinking of change for new battery..

I didnt update any firware/software yet..

I've always had Nokia but for my first smartphone I actually got an Acer Ferrari Liquid E (Android) and just couldn't get into it at all.  Partly the apps and not being able to personalise like we can with Nokia but mostly the 30 second battery life - it was so frustrating.

It wasn't long before I got an N8 and I'm so in love (like I was with my 6680).

At first the battery was only lasting a day or so but after having to reset a few times (due to network issues), I worked out a few things.

I only use the default themes.  When you download a theme, think of it as an app that is constantly running.
I always close out of every screen.  When I go back to the home screen, I go to Show Open Applications and close them all.
When the phone was in idle mode it had a very vague clock as screen saver but I found a way of turning that off so the screen is completely blank (Settings - Themes - Screen Saver - None).
I flick the sleep switch at the side every time I put it down.
At night I switch the widgets to offline (home screen Options menu) and I tap the battery icon on the home screen and select 'activate power saving mode'.

These measures might take some of the fun out of having such a rad phone but I'd rather have battery life so I can listen to music/radio and watch movies than phaff with whizzy apps.

So - after all of this, my battery lasts at least two days and that's with about 4 or more hours of music time and watching a few movies.

Still Ok! If you play games, it is battery-consuming! You can also change the brightness of screen!

Mine last max 1 day, but I must say that :
- I use it at least 2h as MP3
- I browse on it at least 2h per day
- From 8 am to 6 pm, it is in always connectec to my Exchange server (Push email)
- From 8 am to 6 pm, it connect every 5 minutes to my IMAP account
- Out site of this our, my Exchange connection is done every 15 minutes, no connection for IMAP
- I use Nokia Sleep Screen but my case is not tight enought to the proximity sensor, so the screen is always on

I got an N8 just days ago and last night charged it to 100%, left it in standby mode (power saving mode, etc.) and in 10 hours later it went down to 14%. This is not normal, is it?

Batteries have come a long way through history. With the advent of the first battery, which consisted of paper and salt water coupled with metals, these marvels of harvested energy have evolved in capacity in the thousand-folds. Through science, we have innovated and experimented with the battery, using different metals, alloys, and materials until we found what type of metal held a charge for the correct task at hand.
