Hi, I just got my N8 and will start using it soon. I came from N95 8G. I have a qustion, when I sync the two phones to transfer my data from N95 to N8, where do I put my sim card? Do i need to put it on the N8 ort leave it on the N95 while syncing both phones. Also I have an account with OVI and my N95 is in sync with OVI. Guess my other question would be is can I connect my N8 to OVI, and transfer my files from OVI to the N8? thanks.

Well, there may be more than one way to do it, but what I did was to back up my N95 to the OVI suite and restore those files that I wanted to restore to the N8 (calendar, contacts and notes).  I had the SIM in the N8 (because you need it there to get started and I didn't want to take it out again Cheesy) but if you are restoring files from a computer, you don't need the N95 in any event.

I have my N8 backed up on OVI too and I am sure you use the N95 backups from OVI to populate the N8.

I asked to have or be able to get someone to throw the original video that is added from Nokia on a server somewhere. I mean the demonstration of Dolby and trailers Tron.Since I did flash the phone and forgot to copy these files

Hi i just got my N8 too.

One is able to add a new contact when you finished dialling a new number.  You can find it under Dialled number, find that number you just dialled, click option create new contact.

But i can't seem to do that in the N8.  i can find the dialled number but when I press it, the phone just dials the number directly.

Anybody knows any better way to do this?

Hi, I have had the n8 for a week.  My last phone was the nokia 5800.  The main problem Im having with the n8 is that on occasions it doenst notify me of new text messages.  It doesnt make a sound or display on the screen that i have a new txt message.

Hi, I just got my n8 yesterday, not too impressed so far. Thinking of sending it back. Was wondering if anyone knew where or when the virgin media app will be available. This may change my mind about the phone, Thanks  Lynsay Scotland
