That's not normal.  I would try setting all the power saving tricks shown towards the end of the manual.  If that helps materially, I would then start resetting them to the original one at a time to see what effect that has on your power consumption.  At some point you should discover the culprit and can then take appropriate action.

I hope this helps!

Thanks!  I try to keep in touch with the site because this is a new product and 1) potential users would like to see unbiased responses by actual users and 2) new users can often learn how things are done from older users when the manual is less than clear - or doesn't even address something.

Best,

I had the same problem. I went to a place that fixes nokia and i told them the problem. the guy at first didn't know how to fix the problem. but since i'm there we agreed to try to re-istall firmware. After that my battery is lasting longer, i mean longer, i'm now on my second day after my last charge, compared to before when it lasted only for 7-8 hrs eventhough I'm not using the phone. Some of the phones came with a corrupted firmware. Try this!

I had mine checking emails virtually constantly with a push email client via wi-fi at home or in the office, and my battery was lasting around 6 hours!  Shocked
I turned that off and manually check emails from time to time and now it still shows a full battery when I get home 10 hours later.......gotta be worth checking what yours is set to!  Grin

This is what i did ....

Settings Connectivity WLAN Wizard Options Settings : set Scan for networks every 30 minuts (ir 60 if you like)
Email options settings options synchronisation set Retrieval frequency  to ' every hour'
and set Mail download size to ' Headers only'
Settings Connectivity : set Bluetooth off when you do not use it
Set widgets to Off Line Mode when you dont need them
Delete old email messages - clear unnecessary files
Delete applications you do not use.
Clear the cache of your browser(s) regularly
Switch off your device during the night
Refresh twitter, facebook and similar only manually - not automatically
Do not use screensavers: Settings Themes Screensaver select 'None'
Do not use multitasking when you dont need it i.e. close applications when finished (Menu button - keep finger pressed on the cross of an open application and select ' close resp close all'
When using multimedia (video or audio) keep the sound volume as low as possible.
Set your device on standby when you dont need  it (switch on the right hand side)
All these measures save lot of power.

Depending on the usage and frequency the battery will last 24 hours easily
Just one hour charging (until you here the beep that charging is complete) before you go to sleep and you will start with a fully loaded battery the next day....

Hope this helps
