How can i turn off the lightsensor on the front of the Nokia n8?
So i don't like the light up and down..up and down.
It's only possible to sett in low and high.

hello,

actually i don't think that is not possible unless you hack the phone, somewhere in registry...
but that is useless anyway, the fact that screen is not lit once you talk is better that having it lit for let's say, one hour.. that would drain batery much faster.
sensor is actually not a light sensor - as far as i know - but a proximity sensor that registers distance to your body ( face ). during a call you can swipe your finger near to the front facing camera.. and will get the meaning of this.

actually the N8 has both a proximity sensor and a light sensor.
I would want to disable it too, but without hacking... :-)

I'm using the MOD from faenil for the Landscape dialer, but this is more complete.
