Hi

I saw my friends htc cell phone that if you connect your computer -which is online- with usb cable then cell phone otomatically on the internet.

I wonder if we can use this method for N8.

If you know ant trick please share us.

Its done via one of the OVI options

Menu > Settings > Connectivity > USB > Con. PC ... i don't know how it's in english, but it the last option. that should do it.

İt is not what ı mentioned. Your solutions for
how to use cell phone modem to connect your laptop to internet
but what ı wanna know is
for example if you connetc your htc to pc via usb (and htc is nit connect to internet) htc use pc to connect internet.
Thanks for your answer but I suppose nokia does not support this feature

Hi

If I read you correctly and you are trying to connect you phone to the internet through you PC connection then I don't think it can be done, if your PC is connecting though a Wireless router/modem then you can connect through the that.

You are talking about Ip pass through connection, in which you connect ur device and use internet connection of ur desktop

and its a pity that we cannot do that with Nokia N8 Undecided

I think there are 2 possible solutions:

1) the first is quite obvious, if your PC is connected through a wireless connection and you know the configuration of the connection, you will be able to connect your N8,

2) But you probably don't have the connection configuration or your PC is connected to the internet through a wired LAN so you will need to share the connection of your PC through the Wi-fi of your PC (assuming, it has a wi-fi card).

2) If you don't have wi-fi in your laptop with internet it not a PROBLEM Cheesy
you can use USB like your friend with HTC
