Hi
I am thinking of getting an n8. Just wondering if it is possible to download a movie from rapidshare on it and then unrar it to play it.

Hiya,

you can install a rar app (search for "symbian rar" on google) which will decompress the archive. You can also download it through the web browser. Depending on format, you may or may not be able to play the movie though. The older MPG formats don't seem to work, but later codecs do. Flash videos (ie. .flv) work fine as well.

Bottom line: you can download and decompress easily, however you can't playback every format. If you get a choice of formats (eg. mp4, flv etc), then I would say you probably will be ok.

hey, u can dwl movie mp4 or avi via torrent or google. Download speed for me it's good,about 250kb/s. Still can't find winrar to work on n8. Chears
