Is there an easy way to import my contacts from Outlook into my new Nokia N8?

Yeah.  You put the OVI suite on your computer with Outlook, then hook up the phone to computer via the USB cable. Open OVI suite and go to synchronize.  Specify all of what you want synchronized because if you select synchronize all it will synchronize all -- not just what you had in mind!

I do this about once a week on my work computer - along with my notes, calendar and tasks.

When you have bluetooth on your computer it is easier to do it that way. Then you can even let him syncronise every time you are in the neighbourhood of your computer.
