Is there a safe way to reformat my N8 without turning it into a paperweight?
i want to remove everything and start over with a clean memory. There are too many old files cluttering the mass memory and i don't know what is safe to delete. If i could remove the entire OS and start clean with Belle it would be great.

I just did this with mine at the weekend as I kept getting low memory on c warnings.
First, make you sure you back up anything you want to keep - photos, videos, contacts, messages etc through nokia suite. I did not back up any applications as I wanted a clean install and I re-installed everything by hand.
Then just go to menu->settings->phone->phone management->factory settings->delete data and restore
The process takes about 5 minutes so be patient and dont touch your phone while this is happening. Once it is done you go through a simple setup on the phone setting language and time and then you are ready to go with a clean phone. You can then restore the stuff you backed up in the first setup
