So...
Signing/ unsigning... seem complicated... but is not really...

What is it: A way to be able to play all the games and apps on your N8, using directly the .sis file by running it on you PC

How Do I do it? First, you'll need to get your own (and by that I mean your own otherwise it won't work) Certificate and key files (those files are different for every N8 and you'll need your Imei to get them...)

Go here: http://www.n8fanclub.com/2010/10/how-to-get-opda-certificate-and-key-for.html

Follow the instructions and you'll get your key and cert file in approximately 12 hours.

What now?
Well now you'll need to sign the games first to be able to install them on your N8

How??
Here is the Signer/Unsigner that lets you sign/unsign any application or game

It looks like this:


Follow those instructions:
1. SiS File - Add app/game
2. Cer File - Add your Certificate
3. Key File - Add your Key
4. Click  "Sign!"
5. Install
6. Enjoy

I hope this helps most of you using the apps and games on the forum...

If you can't wait, and want the apps to work right away (12 hours can be long)
You can always jailbreak the N8 by installing the cracked UDA file in a fresh firmware

Doing this, and you won't have to sign any application, they will all work directly...

it seems so safe and reliable

Note: some times the cer take less than one min to be normal and can be used
that's happend to me

its done with faenil's firmware Smiley and with he's software, the appz, gamez and so on, dont need to be signed Cheesy

Has he done one for PR1.1??
I thought he did it only for the old firmware 11.12

jailbreaking results in the same way to install apps and games, just on faenils te firmware is customized... Let us know if it's PR1.1 and post the link...

just degrade the firmware to 11.12, install cracked firmware, then update the phone as normal ota Smiley worked for me Cheesy

by using navifirm and pheonix Smiley just install the 11.12 firmware, then install the crack after phone has startet up again Smiley and then u follow the instruction on his post Smiley

Still you know you cannot degrade or downgrade, this is why I was asking you how you suggest we do it...
Once you're on PR1.1 or 13.16, the only way is to go to nokia care and ask them kindly to degrade it... It is not possible to do it with phoenix..
11.12 to 13.16 --> use phoenix and navifirm
13.16 to 11.12 --> Nokia Care

worked fine for me Smiley but you need to remove the 13.16 firmware from ur pc first. then you can downgrade it Smiley but dont try to use the crack on 13.16, that went wrong for me, and i got a new phone from repair Smiley the new phone had 13.16 on it, so i just did what i told you, and now i have it on my phone, and update to 13.16 worked fine after Smiley

Are you sure? I tried again and nothing worked... Phoenix just won't install an earlier version...
I Tried with faenils and I tried with the original firmware 11.12
Has nothing to do with pc... It breaks the flashing process before the end while trying to go back to the previous version.
I checked on other forums and got the same answer: NOT POSSIBLE TO DOWNGRADE
The only thing that is possible is that you got it back from nokia with the 11.12 installed

And btw: The crack for the 13.16 works fine... Just read the posts in here... Noone could not install it except you it seems... :p
You could have asked for help then instead of sending it back to nokia... could have spared you a few days... LoL
