Hello,

I just got my N8 (3days) and i am also new to Symbian OS so please bear with me.  I would like to know if i can install full version cracked apps on my phone... if yes, how?

I tried reading several topics here and the more i read the more i get confused.. simply because i do not know how the concept of "Jailbreaking" works for Symbian devices.  I was used to using an Apple Device.

So if anyone can direct me to the basics... i would gladly appreciate it.  Grin

1.  Do i need to "Jailbreak" my N8's firmware before i can install cracked apps

2.  Do i just need to install cracked apps? or both?  Both meaning jailbreak my N8 firmware and install cracked apps

3.  Does it have dependency on the version of the Ovi Suite being used? (comparing to Apple, iTunes version is also a dependency)

4. Where do i get the cracked apps? is there a site where i can just download them or do i have to manually crack the apps by myself?

5. Will it work on Symbian Anna v25.007?

same problem for me as well.....

1) i brought this n8 2days ago.

2) new to Symbian...bt i had jailbreaked several times my iphone n ipod using perticular jailbreak soft like redsnow.(in apple we must download the firmware file of device and the jailbreaker app "redsnow" than after jailbreak we cn play any app or games.

3)every wer in this site its how to debranding...bt no wer how to jailbreak.

4)i dont knw which firmware i am running in my n8...wen i click on sw update i see 4 options
*N8-00 Device software(imp phn prfmnc so n so n v. 025.007)use pc to update.
*nokia maps - with enhance drive navigation( new v. of nokia map 3.8(105)optional
*social
*synbian anna service pack ( brin better perfmnc n usablity so n so )
-now hw wud i knw m using correct firmware to jailbreak.

5)for jailbreaking shud i have to install nokia pc suites...?

KINDLY HELP US.

you can install signed games or apps without  jailbreak, only for unsigned you have to hack your phone first.

games and apps you can find here, just to use SEARCH
