Sometimes an unseen data is there in the phone so check with care and properly and this unseen data may be it is virus also so it is better for you to format your phone due to this the the virus or the unnecessary data eliminates and your phones operating speed increases.

You can format the phone so that you can have the phone memory back to like when you bought it. But remember though, that the mass memory will also be formatted so you'll lose data as well. Don't worry about the memory card as it won't be affected. First, you have to back up all the contacts and messages on your phone to your pc using the ovi suite. Then, you can proceed with the format. If you have applications installed, make sure you have the installers so you can reinstall it after formatting. To format your phone (as well as mass memory), type *#7370# on the dialler (as if you were placing a call). It will then ask for the security code. Type your security code (default is 12345) and then it will proceed with the format. Be patient and make sure that your charger plugged in or your phone has at least half of its battery charge to prevent problems. Hope this helps.

When you install apps, whether you choose the phone memory or the mass memory, some files are still copied to the phone memory. You can't see them when you use the file explorer as those files are system files. Even when you connect your phone to the computer, you still won't see them. Do you have a lot of apps installed? Even if you uninstall some of them, their system files remain in the phone memory. The only way for you to delete them (or remove them) is by formatting the phone. If you don't mind, what are the apps that you have installed  so far?

I would like to say that some times it happens and I have to say that If you have installed unnecessary items in your phone memory than this things can be happen. It is advisable that do not feed unnecessary things in your mobile.

Here's what I did. For some reason all my songs were in the C: phone memory. So I moved EVERYTHING that I possibly could move from phone to mass memory. It helped, freed up a lot of phone memory

Try to uninstall the games first (I'm assuming you still have the installers or have access to their installers) and then check the application manager or the file manager if this frees up some space. It will take a lot of time but will help you to figure out which apps or games are eating a lot of your phone memory.

hello ppl,

Could it be that both e-mails and RSS data are counting against the C: memory space ? Have ended up in resetting the phone once it got down to 10 Mb free space, as i did not knew what is happening.
Also, worh checking ( in ovi store settings ) that applications are installing as default on E: ( mass memory )...
Can someone confirm ?

I have had enough with slow games releases from Symbian and Ovi. Tbh I have taken my OVI off of the phone now and can't be bothered as all the files were saved on the memory card anyways. The updates I can't save to memory card or can I find an option to do so. I am takeing my phone in to A local repair shop and getting the nokia guys to wipe it. I don't think I'll buy A nokia phone ever again
