iPhone 3G to Nokia N8 - Suggestion Required

Hi All,

Good to see a forum for Nokia N8. I was looking for reviews and applications.

I was a Nokia freak prior 2009..But after i got my 1st iPhone..I have become a macintosh geek Angry

As I am human being..taste changes Grin

..so i want to switch to different platform..

I used Nokia 5800,N95,86,E 63,72,N97

but due to applications i prefer iPhone..

I want a suggestion from u guys whether i switch to Nokia N8 from my iPhone 3g

I want a gadget which will help me to access my office email,yahoo email,Open Microsoft word files, PDF files, chat with people via messenger and enjoy music

I want a honest opinion from u guys..

I appreciate your effort

I went from iphone 3G to N8. I liked the hardware of the N8, and the open platform. Wanted flash in my browser and was tired of the apple does not allow stories. I think all the things you want to do are possible on N8. But the software is still like some Russian developed it in the 70's. Compared to iphone it actually is quite crappy. Try it out first before you buy. So far there was one update, that fixed some minor bugs. But no wow feeling. Also, not many apps come out, and often the apps presented in the store do not even work on N8, including the ones you pay for. Most disappointing is that Nokia seems to be more held up in meetings than actually trying to surprise me with some really good stuff. Conclusion: iphone is a gadget you can also make calls with. Nokia is a phone. That you can play with. But just a bit. At home, I still use my 3G. Without a sim card. That says it all I guess.

Nokia is better than iphone because it has great reputation and has low price than iphone, iphone has many problem of locking so people can not use application.
