Ok the iPhone has more apps and is better on the net than the N8...........but it is certainly the best Nokia so far.
I have had Nokia's for years, tried Sony Ericsson hated their menu structure bought another Nokia, tried Sanyo which was OK but nothing spectacular.....bought another Nokia.....

My last 5 phones all Nokia.....
  • N82
  • N95
  • N95 8Gb
  • N97
  • and currently an orange N8

Just keep the N8 up to date and I think you'll like it.  Smiley

So if I keep it up to date, it dont have any bugs more and dont hang etc?
And does it have, I dont now the name but it is something like my current nokia 6210 navigator. If you hold down the left button you get a speech recongizer or something and if you say " Camera " it opens the camera . If you say " Jhonny" it opens up contact  jhonny.
Do you now what I mean? And has the N8 this to?
Thanks

If you want a completely bug free phone then you are living in a dream world  Shocked
Buy a basic hard wired phone and plug it in to the wall at home and stay at home if you want a phone that has no bugs, because any phone with a processor that runs software has bugs!!

EVERY phone has bugs even the iPhone, and yes the N8 does still have some, but it is still MUCH better than the N97 so you will notice a big difference in speed as well as reliability.

Yes there is a speech recogniser on the the phone too, press and hold the Call key on the home screen to activate it.

If you are expecting ANY mobile phone to be faultless out of the box or even after 2 years of firmware updates then you'll never buy another mobile phone ever again mate!  Wink

Best thing to do is to go to your local phone store and ask to try the N8 and any others you may like that they can show you working live in the store. That way you get to make an informed choice and hopefully buy the phone you like.

The Transaction with the Nokia N8 on the shelves of high profits and attractive offers. They include free gifts, incentives and other incentives to increase their sales host. This is not a one-way joint venture, customers gain the benefits of these transactions. Customers can improve their standard of living, but also can take advantage of the benefits of the Nokia phone deal. Including high-definition electronic products.

Nooo don't do it man, the N8 is the phone from hell. You can take crashes, abysmal battery life, applications that won't start or crash when they deign to do... you might imagine that when you make a backup your data might be secure, but... I needed to see a number I called a few weeks ago and... well... before the crap Ovi/Nokia suite would open and let me see the number I called, it wanted to download 88MB of pure shit before it would let me see what I had supposedly backed up.

Nobody else is buying Nokia, we're a bunch of suckers here who are much the wiser now. Where are you?

Great phone, I cannot fault it. Internet on Opera, super camera, an operating system that I can cope with, fast gps response, free navigation although I am using Sygic, and I have never had a crash/drop out etc. Go for it.

I’m impressed, I must say. Really seldom do I see a forum that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your thoughts is important; the issue is something that not a lot of people are talking intelligently about. I’m really happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
