Being choked by Android and Iphone popularity in the US.

I've been a loyal Nokia user since 2007. I truly believe nokia makes the best mobile devices. As a result, I've vowed to never by a apple device as long as I can help it. However since the emergence of the iphone, and now android devices, I constantly run in to situations where only those devices software will be compatible with another technology I'm desiring..  And bench marking that against the best performance that nokia provides in their product is becoming harder and harder to argue if that should be the deciding factor..

I love having the best featured phone on the market when it comes things it can do (for example pics, recording, FM modulator, etc..,) but it would be nice if my phone's software was more popular in the United States so that it was considered when other products are created. 

What's got me totally contemplating if rather or not I should switch is the Onstar app for GM vehicles.  Being able to start your car or unlock doors is an awesome feature to have on your phone. I live in michigan so this is someone essential on cold winter days.  Its such a strong feature that is has me struggling. 

And this is one of the many things only offered on Iphone and android.. And I already took a hit with not being able to operate my Slingbox after it wasn't support with touch screen symbian devices.  Just keeps getting worst!  Sorry for complaining but I want to keep nokia!  And carrying two devices just aint practical.  What do I do? I need advice.  Please be nice.   Frustrated am I!
